The State of Qatar hosted the international credit rating agencies conference

Through a strategic partnership between the Global Compliance Institute (GCI) and Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QCPA) The State of Qatar hosted the international credit rating agencies conference on January 23, 2023 at The Ritz-Carlton Doha

The conference was held for the first time in Qatar and witnessed the participation of international credit rating agencies: Moody's and Standard & Poor's Global Ratings. And it was sponsored by Qatar National bank and Qatar Central Securities Depository.

Mr Benjamin Young, Director - Financial Institutions & Sovereign Ratings at S&P Global rating, has discussed the Sovereign risk rating methodologies and the future expectations for the state of Qatar, while Mr Nitish Bhojnagarwala VP - Senior Credit Officer at Moody's has discussed the banking sector credited rating methodologies.

This conference attracted elite experts and specialists in the economic and financial sector to highlight the latest trends in investment and credit ratings and received massive media coverage, including the national TV, CNBC Arabia, Gulf Times, Qatar News Agency, The Peninsula, and many others.
