ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)

Unprecedented adverse weather events and environmental disasters, growing inequality between rich and poor; institutions, companies and indeed whole countries being brought to their knees by corruption and bad governance have all led to the realisation that we cannot go on like this and the world needs to change

ESG or Environmental, Social, Governance investing was born out of this concept with an awareness that financial resources can to be used for good as well as gain and be the change that is needed. Increasingly investors seek more than just gains but also to influence the world for a better future.

As a result, ESG, also termed Sustainability, has gone from a nice-to-have part of Corporate Responsibility to a Compliance must-have.
